Biography
Bindu Ann Palapura is a partner focused on patent, trademark and trade secret litigation on behalf of clients ranging from startups to the Fortune 50, and across a wide range of industries from pharmaceuticals and chemicals to software and medical devices. Bindu is an active member of the Delaware Bar. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the District of Delaware Federal Bar Association as co-chair of the IP Section. She is also on the Board of the South Asian Bar Association of Delaware.
Prior to law school, Bindu was an associate in GlaxoSmithKline’s IT Development Program, where she managed various technology-related and process-improvement projects spanning the entire pharmaceutical R&D pipeline.
Bindu is the former co-chair of the firm’s Recruiting Committee.

- Successfully defended technology giant Apple against a $30 million patent infringement claim brought by Evolved Wireless LLC related to two LTE technology patents
- Helped medical device manufacturer AngioDynamics successfully defend a $67.5 million patent infringement suit brought by Bard Peripheral Vascular Inc. in connection with three patents related to fluid injection port technology
- Represented IBM in an $82.5 million jury trial victory in an infringement case against Groupon Inc. in connection with e-commerce patents
- Secured a favorable ruling for Amneal Pharmaceuticals, maker of generics, specialty products and biosimilars, in a Hatch-Waxman case filed by Amgen Inc. over kidney disease drug Sensipar
- Helped obtain a $3.27 million victory for DuPont with a jury finding Unifrax LLC liable for infringing a patent for thermal blanket coating used in aircraft structures
- Successfully defended technology company Intel in a $2 billion infringement suit brought by AVM Technologies regarding circuit patents
- Helped secure a $12.2 million jury award for Lexion Medical, a surgical device manufacturer, after finding a competitor liable for false advertising in connection with products used in laparoscopic surgical procedures
