Potter Anderson Helps IBM Win $82.5M in Patent Infringement Case

In a patent suit brought by IBM against Groupon Inc., a jury found that Groupon infringed four of IBM’s e-commerce patents and awarded IBM $82.5 million. The two-week trial was held in the U.S. District Court of Delaware.

Serving as Delaware counsel in collaboration with Desmarais LLP, litigation group chair Dave Moore and partner Bindu Palapura led Potter Anderson’s representation.

IBM’s victory has been widely publicized in legal and business publications, including Reuters, Bloomberg, Law360 and Law.com.
