Potter Anderson Partner Michael A. Pittenger Becomes ACTL Fellow

WILMINGTON, Del. (Oct. 14, 2024) – Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP (Potter Anderson) is pleased to announce that firm partner and Transactions & Corporate Counseling Practice Group leader Michael A. Pittenger has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL).

Also a member of Potter Anderson’s Executive Committee, Pittenger represents corporations, directors, and stockholders in fiduciary duty litigation, M&A and corporate takeover litigation, and commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery. He is the co-author of Corporate and Commercial Practice in the Delaware Court of Chancery, Second Edition (Matthew Bender & Co.), which is recognized as a leading authority on Delaware corporate practice and has been cited by the Delaware courts in over 500 published opinions. He also counsels corporations, directors, and board committees regarding corporate governance matters, fiduciary duties, proxy contests, M&A transactions, and other aspects of Delaware corporate law. 

Founded in 1950 and one of the premier legal associations in North America, ACTL is composed of members of the trial bar from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Membership is limited to no more than one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. Fellowship is extended by invitation only to those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds, who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years of trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.
