Potter Anderson Advises Alphabet’s Google in Tech Licensing Deal with Character.AI
Chatbot startup Character.AI has entered into an agreement with search engine giant Google in which Google will be granted a non-exclusive license to Character.AI’s large language model technology. The deal will see former Google employees and Character.AI founders Noam Shazeer and Daniel De Freitas return to Google, together with certain members of Character.AI’s research team.
