Rogers, Morales and Sprance Selected for 2023 LCLD Programs

As part of Potter Anderson’s continuing commitment to supporting the work of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, three firm lawyers have been selected to participate in this year’s LCLD programs.

Partner Jacqueline Rogers will join the LCLD Fellows Program, an intensive, yearlong professional development program that mentors the legal industry’s diverse leaders of tomorrow. Associates Katelin Morales and Ciara Sprance will participate in the LCLD Pathfinders Program, a seven-month professional program designed to train high-performing, early-career attorneys on foundational leadership and relationship-building.

Rogers represents companies and their management and boards in high-stakes mergers and acquisitions litigation, corporate and stockholder disputes, and complex commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery. She also has substantial experience litigating and providing advice concerning various statutory proceedings under the Delaware General Corporation Law, such as indemnification and advancement suits, stockholder appraisal actions, dissolution proceedings, litigation involving contested director elections, and books and records demands.

Morales focuses her practice on complex commercial restructurings in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. She has represented various types of clients through the chapter 11 process, such as debtors, lenders, official committees of unsecured creditors, secured creditors, and indenture trustees. Katelin also has experience litigating complex commercial disputes that arise in chapter 11 proceedings. She represents debtors and other parties in interest in a wide range of bankruptcy litigation, including contested plan confirmations, fraud, and avoidance actions.

Sprance focuses her practice on corporate and business transactions including the structure and use of Delaware business entities such as corporations, limited liability companies, limited and general partnerships and statutory and common law trusts. Ciara also assists with the representation of lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate and other financing transactions and has worked on multiple commercial real estate acquisition and construction transactions, as well as commercial loan modifications. She provides third-party legal opinions concerning Delaware’s General Corporation Law, Delaware’s alternative entity statutes and the Delaware Uniform Commercial Code.
