Potter Anderson Supports Alford Breakfast, Incoming Associate Receives Excellence Award
Potter Anderson is a proud sponsor of the 2018 Judge Haile L. Alford Memorial Breakfast, which was held at the DuPont Country Club in Wilmington on May 16. Organized by the Delaware State Bar Association’s Multicultural Judges and Lawyers Section, the annual event is held in honor of Haile L. Alford, Delaware’s first African-American female judge. Judge Alford was appointed by Governor Mike Castle in 1992 and served on the bench until her untimely death in 2003 at the age of 54.
One of this year’s award recipients at the breakfast is Caneel Radinson-Blasucci, a Delaware Law School student who will be joining Potter Anderson as an associate in August 2018. Radinson-Blasucci received a 2018 Alford Excellence Award, a scholarship for future attorneys who will sit for the July 2018 Delaware Bar Examination.
This is the second time an incoming Potter Anderson associate has received an Alford Excellence Award. Kwesi Atta-Krah, an associate in our Corporate Group who focuses primarily on corporate litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery, received the award in 2016.
