Potter Anderson Serves as Counsel to DuPont in Deal to Acquire Taxon Biosciences

E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company has agreed to acquire Taxon Biosciences Inc., a leading microbiome discovery company, for an undisclosed amount.  The acquisition will further strengthen DuPont's in-house capabilities and market access in both seed and crop protection to discover and commercialize biological solutions for agriculture customers globally.  

Founded in 2000, California-based Taxon uses genomics, bioinformatics, and microbiology to develop microbial-based products for agriculture.

Closing of the acquisition is expected in the second quarter.
