Potter Anderson Aids Liberty Media in Spin-off
The law firm of Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP served as counsel to Liberty Media Corporation and Liberty Media LLC in litigation before the Delaware Court of Chancery and an appeal to the Delaware Supreme Court, in which the Supreme Court confirmed that a proposed split-off of the businesses, assets and liabilities of Liberty Capital and Liberty Starz (two of Liberty Media’s tracking stocks) did not constitute a disposition of all or substantially all of the assets of Liberty Media. The split-off is now set to close on Friday, September 23 . The new company will be named Liberty Media Corp. and the existing company will be renamed Liberty Interactive Corp. The Potter Anderson team, led by Donald J. Wolfe, Jr., included partners Arthur L. Dent, Michael A. Pittenger and Brian C. Ralston.
