Morton and Belger Present on Recent Developments in Delaware Law
At the Dallas Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel Section committee meeting on December 3, Potter Anderson partners Mark Morton and Matt Belger provided an update on recent developments in Delaware law.
A frequent speaker at corporate law seminars and symposia around the country, Morton focuses on corporate counseling, governance and opinion work. He regularly advises clients regarding all aspects of the Delaware General Corporation Law, governance of Delaware corporations, and fiduciary obligations, both in the context of daily business affairs and with respect to mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions. He also authors opinion letters on a wide range of matters of Delaware corporation law. In addition, he frequently is engaged to serve as counsel to Special Committees and Conflicts Committees in connection with various conflict transactions, including M&A transactions.
Belger focuses his practice on corporate and commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery. Before joining Potter Anderson, he was a law clerk for Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster of the Delaware Court of Chancery. Before his clerkship, he was an associate with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York and a law clerk for Chancellor William B. Chandler III.
