Whistleblowers in the Workforce
This session will focus on how to respond when an employee "blows the whistle," how to avoid retaliation claims from employees involved in the whistleblower investigation, and how to avoid constructive discharge claims from the whistleblower employee.
Separation Agreements
This session will focus on the effective use of separation agreements in individual and group terminations and how to design an agreement. During our session, you will learn when a separation agreement is advisable and what it can achieve, and learn what should be included in a written separation agreement.
On The Horizon
We will identify topics that are important for HR professionals to monitor as the issues develop. The list will be compiled from court dockets and filings, news stories, client questions, and proposed legislation that occur as the seminar approaches. Attendees will be updated on the status of health care reform and how it may be impacted by the upcoming election. You will also be apprised of the latest legal developments, including the NLRB's position on social media and other employment policies, and expanding employer liability associated with employee use of technology.
