Barrist Discusses LLCs With Jumpstart Wilmington’s First Cohort of Future Developers
Joy Barrist was a speaker for Jumpstart Wilmington’s first cohort of future developers in the City of Wilmington. She discussed the basics of limited liability corporations, how LLCs can be structured, and what is involved in creating and maintaining an LLC.
Barrist offers a full range of commercial real estate law services involving the finance, acquisition, sale, lease and development of complex multimillion-dollar real estate projects throughout Delaware, around the country and internationally. She regularly represents banks and lending institutions, private equity firms, investors, developers, owners, landlords, and tenants. She is a frequent speaker on topics of commercial real estate and, in particular, real estate finance and construction lending.
Jumpstart Wilmington is a joint venture between Cinnaire, a nonprofit financial partner that supports community and economic revitalization initiatives, and the University of Delaware’s Biden School of Public Policy and Administration. The program promotes the growth of local developer capacity through training to support neighborhood revitalization and community development solutions.
