Potter Anderson participates in Motorola’s Split into Two Companies

April 18, 2008 -- When Motorola Inc. announced its plans in March to split the company into two separate entities—cell phone and broadband —Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz was tapped as counsel and Potter Anderson & Corroon served as co-counsel. The Potter Anderson team included corporate partners Matthew Fischer, Mark Morton, Stephen Norman, and Donald Wolfe, Jr. The sale is expected to be completed by 2009 and current shareholders would receive stock in both new companies.
